'Foreign alien land'
When I awake I'll be lonely again
Beneath gray heaven of province.
The lights will light up like the eyes of pools -
Like drops in the water, all stars
Keep lying on the bottom in shade.
Oh this night, oh this night!
Is thicker than curtain plush,
More frightening than pig-iron fence.
I can see just my own self.
Everywhere I meet my eyes.
Farewell, foreign alien land,
We can't stay here any more.
We are now lighter than fog,
We are now cleaner than rain.
Some day we'll come back again,
But who will tell us (it's hard to tell):
Farewell, foreign land, farewell!
Perhaps we have already
come down from the sky
Have been reborn many times.
Oh what a bitter memory
the bitter memory of
of what will happen next!
But the tires whisper in the night
Comforting nonsense and trash.
I hear a cry in the dark,
A kind of signal I think.
Farewell, foreign land,
But we can't stay here any more.
We are now lighter than fog,
We are now cleaner than rain.
Some day we'll come back here again,
But who will tell us (it's hard to tell):
Farewell, foreign land, farewell!
